Tycee Belcastro guides young adults and families in creating more successful, balanced, and healthy relationships. Tycee brings advanced education and specialization, plus over 15 years experience guiding individuals through adolescent and young adult development, in multiple settings including individual and family counseling, schools, in-home, residential programs, foster care, crisis centers, and shelters. She is trained in family systems interventions, conscious parenting, equine assisted psychotherapy, suicide prevention and crisis intervention, post traumatic stress disorder and treating trauma, human sexuality and treating sexual compulsions, self-image and body-image treatment, and more.

Tycee offers young people and their families the essential emotional skills everyone needs to know in order to:

Tycee’s education includes the following:

  • Bachelor of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado.
  • Graduated Summa Cum Laude.
  • Inducted into both Alpha Chi and Psi Chi Honor societies as an undergraduate student.
  • Attained a Master of Arts degree in psychology with a Marriage and Family Therapy specialization from Saybrook University in San Francisco, California.
  • Completed pre-graduate internship and supervision under Dr. Amy Gallagher, Psy.D., at Colorado West Regional Mental Health, and was hired post-graduation to serve as a member of the mobile crisis response team.

While Tycee considers education to be important, she knows that her ability to effectively connect with and guide adolescents, young adults, and families is a direct result of attending to her own issues as an individual, and as a parent. The skills Tycee teaches are skills she has learned, and continues to learn, in the pursuit of her own growth.
