Parent-Wise

Training in emotional skills for parents of kids who are “just a little different”

As a parent, you know when your child is not like other kids. Making friends, completing schoolwork, participating in group activities, behaving well in social situations can be challenging for some. Parents want to help their kids navigate these situations, but sometimes it seems like it is much harder than it should be.

In this therapy group, parents get together to learn how to raise connected, focused, engaged children.

Questions? Call us!

BEing There Counseling offers a therapy group for parents who want to help their kids feel comfortable and happy in their own skin, even though their kids are just a bit different. These kids are often high functioning, but not in the same way as other kids their age. These kids often look normal and have highly developed intellect, but are emotionally immature and highly sensitive. They may have been diagnosed on the autism spectrum, as dyslexic, or ADHD/ADD. Either way, this group is designed for parents who seek to help their kids to be their best selves, even if that doesn’t always look like everyone else.

These children look normal enough that other people may not place the problem they intuit. Other kids reject them. Adults often have unrealistic expectations of them. They have trouble in school. And they always present unique parenting challenges.

This group helps parents of these children feel less alone in their parenting struggles. New outlooks, up-to-date research, creative communication styles, helpful resources, and just plain relief all help parents to be better parents of these challenging children.

All groups are open and on-going, meaning you can join when you want, attend when you want, for as long as you want, and stop attending when you want. We want this to be the most enriching experience ever!

Space is limited, so you must reserve your space for each session.
Also, we ask that you provide 24-hour notice of cancellation, to avoid being charged. (This way we can offer the space you give up to someone else.)

A $10 Introductory Session is held periodically to explain the group to new registrants, answer any questions you might have, and help you to see if it is right for you. Tycee will show you how this group will change your life.

Submit the opt-in form below with your name and email to receive information about the next Introductory Session for Parent Wise. You will receive a response telling you when and where the next $10 Introductory Session is scheduled.
